How does it work?
First, we’ll discuss your sedation options. Your comfort is important to us! We offer nitrous oxide sedation, oral conscious sedationand IV conscious sedation, to ease anxiety and reduce discomfort before and during the procedure. We’ll help you decide which option is best for you.
To begin the procedure, Dr. Montoya will administer local anesthesia to numb the area. We’ll use laser technology to create a small and precise incision in the mucosal tissue. The dental implant post will then be embedded into your jawbone. Once the implant is in place, the implant site is covered with mucosal tissue and closed with sutures.
While the implant integrates with your jaw bone, you’ll have a temporary dental implant crown that lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 months. And finally, your permanent dental implant crown will be placed!
