Laser Implant
Placement
We’re proud to offer laser implant placement at our cutting-edge dental implant studio in Jacksonville!
Laser implant placement is a state-of-the-art technique that allows us to place dental implants efficiently and with a minimally-invasive approach that reduces discomfort and healing time.
What is laser implant placement?
Laser implant dentistry is a highly-advanced procedure that utilizes laser technology to precisely insert dental implants into the jawbone. This innovative technique replaces traditional drilling methods, allowing us to create a small, precise opening in the gum tissue and bone, resulting in less discomfort, minimal bleeding, and faster healing times.
Am I a candidate for laser implant placement?
Dental implant laser placement is ideal for patients who have one or more missing teeth and are looking for a solution that restores their smile and helps them regain confidence – with minimal discomfort.
Laser placement can also be used to repair failed dental implants and treat peri-implantitis (infection around the dental implant).
What are the benefits of laser placement?
As a high-tech dental implant office, it’s important that we use the latest techniques and technologies to ensure the best possible experience for you. We use laser placement for a few reasons:
- Significantly reduces implant recovery time, compared to conventional implant placement
- Minimizes trauma to surrounding tissues, allowing for quicker recovery
- Can help ease dental anxiety in patients, due to its gentle and minimally-invasive approach
- Leads to better esthetic outcomes and a more natural-looking smile
- Ensures the longevity and durability of dental implants
How does it work?
First, we’ll discuss your sedation options. Your comfort is important to us! We offer nitrous oxide sedation, oral conscious sedation and IV conscious sedation, to ease anxiety and reduce discomfort before and during the procedure. We’ll help you decide which option is best for you.
To begin the procedure, Dr. Montoya will administer local anesthesia to numb the area. We’ll use laser technology to create a small and precise incision in the mucosal tissue. The dental implant post will then be embedded into your jawbone. Once the implant is in place, the implant site is covered with mucosal tissue and closed with sutures.
While the implant integrates with your jaw bone, you’ll have a temporary dental implant crown that lasts anywhere from 3 to 6 months. And finally, your permanent dental implant crown will be placed!
We will explain the process to you, step by step, at your complimentary dental implant consultation.
