While traditional dentures are removable, implant dentures are securely anchored to dental implants surgically implanted in the jawbone. These implants consist of anywhere from 4 to 8 titanium posts that hold the dentures in place, creating a stable foundation.

At your first visit, you’ll receive a free comprehensive exam valued at $430. We’ll sit down and work out a custom financial plan that makes your new smile accessible.
We accept most major credit cards, as well as CareCredit financing, LendingPoint financing, and Proceed Finance financing. If you have dental insurance, our team will also submit your insurance claims for you, so you can receive the maximum benefit!
What is the process for getting denture implants?
We’re proud to have an in-house lab that allows Dr. Montoya to complete the entire dental implant placement process right here in our Jacksonville dental implant studio!
Step 1: What is the process for getting denture implants?
You’ll meet our friendly specialist, Dr. Montoya, for a free consultation. We’ll get to know you and discuss your needs, then Dr. Montoya will perform a thorough evaluation of your smile. He’ll assess your oral health and determine whether you’ll need natural bone grafting to strengthen your jawbone before implant placement.
Step 2: Dental implant surgery
Once you’re cleared to begin treatment, the next step is to place dental implants in your jawbone. We have a number of sedation options to ease discomfort and help you feel more comfortable! You’ll also receive local anesthesia to numb your mouth before incisions are made. Dr. Montoya will make a few small incisions in your gums to place each implant into its designated spot. After closing the gum tissue, you’ll head home to recover.
Step 3: Osseointegration/ Abutment
For the next 3-6 months, you’ll be healing at home. Once the implants have successfully integrated with your jaw bone, you’ll return to our office to receive metal abutments. Abutments are the pieces that connect the implant posts to the visible crowns; abutments will be placed over the tops of your dental implants.
Step 4: Final restoration placement
Finally, we’ll secure your beautiful new teeth in place, and you’ll leave our office smiling!
